How Do Video Competitions Work?
Video competitions are sponsored by companies or individuals as a promotional tool. The sponsor defines the video subject matter, what type of awards (if any), how awards are determined and a deadline. Creators submit videos that are voted on until the competition ends and a winner is chosen. Creators and sponsors jointly own submitted videos.
Eligibility. All creators are eligible to submit to any video competition except when specific restrictions are included in the competition description.
Create. Creators must follow the full video competition requirements when creating their video. Submitted videos not on topic will be removed.
Submit. Creators have until the competition deadline to submit a video.
Voting. The Quickframe community votes on their favorite videos and those videos with the most votes are shown first in the submission list. Creators are allowed to ask their friends and family to vote for thier videos but may not vote for their own videos. Individuals are only allowed to vote for each video once. Quickframe has a sophisticed and proprietary monitoring system to detect and remove invalid and duplicate votes.
Winning. Once the competition expires, voting ends and the sponsor decides on the winners based on that competition's specific criteria. Winning videos can be decided purely based on the number of votes, chosen by the sponsor based on personal preference or other criteria. See the competition details for specifics.
Payment. For cash awards, Quickframe pays winning creators via our secure payments process. Funds should arrive within 14 days but are canceled if no US based bank account or PayPal account is added within 30 days. For prizes, the creator should be emailed by the competition sponsor with further instructions. Quickframe is not responsible for the delivery of any such prizes.
